What schools are available for expat children in Portugal?

Greenlight editorial · Nov 30, -0001

Short answer: International schools (English, French, German curricula), Portuguese public schools (free, immersive), and a growing bilingual private network.

Greenlight's Life in Portugal guide lists CAISL, St Julian's, German School Lisbon, plus regional options in Porto and the Algarve. Public school is free but Portuguese-only — fine for young kids, harder for teens. International curriculum runs €8-18k/year.
